The Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings 19-15 in a divisional matchup, but the victory was overshadowed by numerous severe injuries. Detroit's defense led the effort by limiting Minnesota to 266 total yards and forcing multiple punts, while running back Jahmyr Gibbs powered the offense with 153 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The win proved costly as linebacker Jack Campbell was transported to a local hospital after suffering a serious neck injury. Additionally, Brian Branch and D.J. Wonnum sustained concussions, while D.J. Reed, Jimmy Rolder, Cade Mays, and Jacob Saylors also suffered injuries during the contest.
