Ex-Cowboys starter and first-round pick released by Houston Texans.

The Houston Texans have officially released inside linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. on Thursday, just over a month into the regular season. Murray, a former Dallas Cowboys starter and 2020 first-round draft pick, recorded six tackles across two appearances for the Texans this season before his departure.
In concurrent roster moves, Houston re-signed defensive end Chris Braswell to the practice squad following the return of Braden Smith to the active roster. Murray's brief stint in Houston included a controversial unpenalized hit on former teammate Dak Prescott during a Week 4 matchup against Dallas.
