Harris exhibited frustration toward New York's running-back-by-committee approach after he received only four carries in the defeat to New Orleans this past Sunday.
The New York Giants released veteran running back Najee Harris on Tuesday following internal friction over his limited role. The decision came shortly after Harris started over rookie Cam Skattebo in a 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints, during which Harris saw minimal action.
Following the defeat, Harris publicly expressed frustration regarding head coach John Harbaugh's running-back-by-committee strategy, arguing that a lack of steady workload prevented backs from finding rhythm. Harris leaves the Giants after recording 99 rushing yards on the season.
