Game recap: 5 takeaways from Packers’ loss to Falcons

The Green Bay Packers lost their home opener to the Atlanta Falcons 35-14 on Thursday night at Lambeau Field. After Green Bay took an early 7-0 lead, Atlanta responded with 27 consecutive points to pull away. The defeat dropped head coach Matt LaFleur and the Packers to a 1-2 record on the season.

Atlanta dominated total yards 498 to 328 behind the return of starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Running back Bijan Robinson rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Drake London also recorded 194 receiving yards. Green Bay struggled offensively, managing only 17 rushing yards as quarterback Jordan Love threw 53 passes.
