The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Green Bay Packers 35-14 at Lambeau Field on Thursday, handing Green Bay its first home-opening defeat since 2012. The loss dropped head coach Matt LaFleur's team to a 1-7 record over their last eight games. Green Bay struggled significantly on the ground, producing only 17 rushing yards on eight attempts while quarterback Jordan Love threw 53 passes.
Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. made his return to action in his first start since an ACL tear last season. Atlanta's offense was powered by Bijan Robinson and Drake London, who combined for 407 total yards against Jonathan Gannon's defense.
