Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has filed a civil lawsuit seeking a permanent injunction to prevent the release of records and surveillance video related to a May 23 domestic altercation at his home. The lawsuit argues that releasing the garage video would reveal private security details, increasing his risk of burglary and theft, while also compromising the privacy and identity of the victim.
Jacobs has been on the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List since August 30 after pleading no contest on September 10 to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property charges. While the NFL seeks the video for its own Personal Conduct Policy investigation, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed he has no updates regarding Jacobs' return timeline.
