The move brings depth to a receiver group currently dealing with injuries early in the 2026 NFL season. Owen became a free agent following an injury settlement with the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month.
Owen recorded 1,245 receiving yards at Ohio in 2024 before signing with the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2025. Green Bay sought additional receiving and special teams options after injuries to Jayden Reed and Savion Williams left the active roster short-handed.
