Houston Texans defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr. received an unfortunate update from the NFL office in Week 4.

Houston Texans defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr. had his appeal denied for an $8,263 NFL fine. The penalty stems from a roughing the passer infraction for a low hit on Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen during Houston's 36-31 season-opening loss.
Edwards is currently out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL. Several other Texans players, including Azeez Al-Shaair and Jamal Hill, have also faced fines from the league for on-field hits and uniform violations during the 2026 season.
