The Story in 60 Seconds

The Houston Texans acquired third-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals following their Week 5 victory against the Tennessee Titans. In exchange for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick, Houston traded a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round draft pick. Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur stated the trade was in the best interest of his team.

Writer Maanav Gupta views the trade as a low-risk, high-reward move for Houston, noting Harrison's collegiate chemistry with quarterback C.J. Stroud at Ohio State. Harrison was selected fourth overall in 2024 and recorded 885 yards as a rookie, but Gupta argues Arizona failed to utilize him properly before trading him away.
