The Houston Texans took action on a former draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in defensive tackle Jonah Laulu.

The Houston Texans submitted a waiver claim for defensive tackle Jonah Laulu after he was released by the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the Tennessee Titans were awarded Laulu due to holding a higher waiver priority, edging out interest from Houston, the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins.
Laulu previously set a Raiders franchise record with 86 tackles over his first two seasons. The Texans pursued the 26-year-old defensive tackle to bolster interior depth following an injury that placed former starter Mario Edwards Jr. on injured reserve.
