After the New Orleans Saints fired their run-game coordinator in T.J. Paganetti, it makes one consider how much longer the Houston Texans will allow their own run-game coordinator in Cole Popovich continue to hold his role?

Clayton Anderson of Toro Times questions whether the Houston Texans should consider moving on from offensive line coach and run-game coordinator Cole Popovich. The scrutiny follows the New Orleans Saints firing run-game coordinator T.J. Paganetti after persistent rushing struggles, alongside recent coaching dismissals by the Carolina Panthers.
Anderson highlights that Popovich's units have consistently ranked near the bottom of the league since he took the role in 2025. Through seven games in 2026, the Texans rank fourth-worst in rushing yards per game and yards per carry, increasing pressure from fans and media.
