For all the times that Skattebo has discussed his 2025 season-ending injury, he found some new — albeit unexplained — ground to cover.

A new documentary produced by the New York Giants details Cam Skattebo's rehabilitation and renewed passion for football following a severe leg injury. The hour-long film, titled "Skattebo: The Road Back," documents the running back's journey after suffering an open tibia fracture against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 26, 2025. Skattebo admitted that he temporarily lost his passion for the sport before dedicating himself to a grueling recovery.
The documentary showcases key moments from his recovery, including his initial interactions with head coach John Harbaugh during Harbaugh's hiring process in January. It also highlights medical consultations with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Samir Mehta and the intense rehab that culminated in Skattebo's regular-season return against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.
