Colts’ Sauce Gardner: Dallas receiver challenge ‘gets my attention’

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner expressed excitement for Sunday's matchup against Dallas Cowboys wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, calling the challenge something that "definitely gets my attention." Both teams enter Lucas Oil Stadium amid struggling seasons, with the Colts at 2-6 and Dallas at 3-5. Gardner and fellow cornerback Charvarius Ward Sr. will face a Cowboys passing attack directed by quarterback Dak Prescott.

Lamb leads the NFL with 92 targets, totaling 60 receptions for 709 yards and six touchdowns, while Pickens has added 39 catches for 533 yards. The Colts' defense, which ranks 30th in points allowed per game, will also manage several key absences as head coach Shane Steichen ruled out cornerback Justin Walley and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither due to knee injuries.
