Adebawore and the Colts agreed to a contract extension Tuesday.

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore signed a contract extension on Tuesday afternoon to remain with the team. Adebawore explained that he chose to stay in Indianapolis rather than enter free agency, citing strong negotiations with Carlie Irsay-Gordon and widespread support from his coaches, teammates, and family.
The new deal comes during a strong 2026 campaign for Adebawore, who has recorded four sacks, eight quarterback hits, and 19 tackles through eight games. Despite the Colts holding a 2-6 record following the trade of DeForest Buckner, Adebawore expressed determination to prove the team right and serve as a reliable leader.
