Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson revealed that doctors were previously unsure if his eyesight would fully return following a severe eye injury. The incident took place during pregame preparations for a 2025 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals when a resistance band snapped, fracturing his orbital bone and causing vision impairment. Richardson underwent surgery and missed the remainder of the 2025 season as a result.
Richardson gradually regained his vision and recently returned to game action during the Colts' 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Richardson expressed gratitude for being able to play again after doctors had doubted his recovery timeline. With Indianapolis holding a 2-6 record, the team is gradually easing Richardson back into the offensive rotation.
