Teams across the NFL expect the Jacksonville Jaguars to trade wide receiver at the deadline but they have a compelling reason to hold onto to him.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly reluctant to trade wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. ahead of the November 10 deadline, partly to avoid disrupting locker room chemistry. According to NFL Media's Cameron Wolfe, Thomas remains well-liked by teammates and shares a close friendship with Travis Hunter. Despite interest from teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville has consistently stated they do not intend to move the former 2024 first-round pick.
Trade speculation continues as Thomas's offensive role has diminished, logging just 19 snaps and zero targets against the Baltimore Ravens. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Thomas may want out and could potentially be packaged in a trade to acquire defensive tackle help. However, writer Carlos Sanchez argues that trading Thomas could demoralize the locker room unless the Jaguars secure immediate roster upgrades in return.
