Patrick Mahomes is one of the most impressive, decorated quarterbacks in the NFL right now, but there is another player reaching his level in the eyes of Bill Simmons.
Bill Simmons argued that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is currently "reaching Mahomes levels" following the team's 5-0 start to the NFL season. Speaking on a clip shared by The Ringer, Simmons praised Purdy as the clear MVP frontrunner and classified him as one of the top three to five quarterbacks he trusts most in the league.
Simmons highlighted Purdy's consistency through the first five weeks, noting the quarterback has improved every season since being selected with the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. While Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs also remain undefeated at 4-0, Simmons suggested the 49ers are starting to feel like a team of destiny.
