The Kansas City Chiefs have elevated defensive tackle Marcus Harris from the practice squad for their Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets, according to Saturday's NFL transactions report. Harris was previously elevated for the first two games of the season, recording seven defensive snaps. He now steps in as defensive reinforcement with rookie defensive tackle Peter Woods ruled out due to an injury.
This elevation marks the third and final standard practice squad elevation permitted for Harris during the regular season. For Harris to play in subsequent regular-season games, Kansas City would need to sign him directly to the active 53-man roster. Meanwhile, second-year defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott is nearing a return from the Reserve/PUP list following a torn ACL.
