Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza has earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors following his standout performance against the Las Vegas Raiders. During the Chiefs' 30-27 victory, Araiza registered five punts for 238 yards and added a 12-yard rush on a successful fake punt.
Araiza averaged 47.6 yards per punt, placing all five kicks inside the 20-yard line, including a critical kick that pinned the Raiders at their own one-yard line with 90 seconds remaining. This is Araiza's first time winning the award, making him the first Chiefs punter honored since Tommy Townsend in 2022.
