For the 2nd time in the last 4 games, the Kansas City Chiefs switched up the offensive line and started Mike Caliendo at left guard as Patrick Mahomes' protection keeps changing.

The Kansas City Chiefs demoted left guard Kingsley Suamataia from their starting lineup for the second time this season ahead of their game against the Denver Broncos. Veteran lineman Mike Caliendo was selected to step into the starting left guard role in his place, with reports characterizing the switch as a coach's decision by head coach Andy Reid.
Suamataia previously lost his starting spot in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders before returning for two games. The move comes as Kansas City deals with continued offensive line instability, including injuries to left tackle Josh Simmons and right tackle Jaylon Moore's recent stint in concussion protocol.
