The Chiefs activated the practice window for Cooper McDonald ahead of Week 7 preparation.

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially opened the 21-day practice window for linebacker Cooper McDonald ahead of their Week 7 preparations. McDonald had been placed on injured reserve on September 16 after suffering a knee injury during the Chiefs' season-opening win against the Denver Broncos.
The 21-day window allows McDonald to practice with the team for up to three weeks before Kansas City must activate him to the roster or keep him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. McDonald originally joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2025.
