Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce expressed his heartbreak following a severe injury to wide receiver Tyquan Thornton during a 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Thornton dislocated his left ankle late in the fourth quarter after catching a 55-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes, requiring surgery that will sideline him for 12 to 16 weeks.
Speaking on the New Heights podcast, Kelce praised Thornton's work ethic and voiced hope for a potential postseason return. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid also praised the receiver, while reports indicate Kansas City has contacted free agent Tyreek Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus to address wide receiver depth.
