Just when it seemed that the Kansas City Chiefs would finally get Josh Simmons back, another report from ESPN's Nate Taylor states he might not be close at all.

Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Josh Simmons faces growing uncertainty surrounding his back injury, according to KC Kingdom's Ernesto Cova. Although head coach Andy Reid previously announced that Simmons would not require surgery or an injured reserve stint, ESPN insider Nate Taylor reported there is currently no indication that Simmons will return to practice soon.
Taylor stated on 96.5 The Fan that Simmons might not be progressing as quickly as hoped despite not suffering an explicit setback. The writer argues that the franchise's lack of transparency is fueling unnecessary speculation and complicates their plans to solidify the offensive line during their bye week.
