The Chiefs could be down both Josh Simmons and Jaylon Moore in Week 7 vs. the Seahawks. Andy Reid doesn’t seem too concerned about it as preparation for Seattle gets underway.
The Kansas City Chiefs face significant offensive tackle uncertainty ahead of their Week 7 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Andy Reid provided updates on Monday, noting that right tackle Jaylon Moore suffered a concussion against the Los Angeles Chargers and left tackle Josh Simmons remains in a gradual ramp-up phase after returning to limited practice last week. Wide receiver Rashee Rice is also being monitored for a hamstring injury.
If both Moore and Simmons are unavailable for Sunday night, Kahlil Benson and Joshua Ezeudu are expected to start at the tackle spots. Ezeudu replaced Moore in Week 6, allowing only one hurry across 17 pass-blocking snaps. The potential absences pose a challenge against a Seahawks defense that ranks among the league leaders in sacks this season.
