Mahomes recalled Bailey as the first teammate he encountered after joining the Chiefs, calling him a great teammate and a glue guy.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and the organization also extended condolences to Bailey's family. Selected in the 2011 NFL Draft, Bailey played eight seasons with the Chiefs and two with the Atlanta Falcons, appearing in 133 regular-season NFL games.
