The Story in 60 Seconds

Patrick Mahomes addressed the possibility of reviving the quarterback sneak after the Kansas City Chiefs failed to score on four goal-line attempts during a 28-24 loss to the Denver Broncos. Mahomes stated that he is willing to do whatever it takes to win and would consider calling his own number, noting that if he does, the play has to work.

The Chiefs have avoided quarterback sneaks since October 2019, when Mahomes dislocated his kneecap during a sneak against Denver. While head coach Andy Reid defended their previous success without the play, Mahomes revealed that sneak options have been installed in game plans but have not yet been executed based on defensive alignments.
