DeForest Buckner isn't the only former player the 49ers have tried to bring back in the fold ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan refuted reports that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jauan Jennings refused a FaceTime call with team leadership. While confirming the 49ers attempted to trade for their former receiver, Shanahan clarified that Jennings did FaceTime with him directly, but the wideout ultimately chose to remain in Minnesota.
Shanahan stated there is no bad blood and that the Vikings were initially open to a deal before Jennings expressed his desire to stay. The 49ers are continuing to search for reinforcements ahead of the trade deadline, while Shanahan virtually ruled out a return for Brandon Aiyuk.
