The Story in 60 Seconds

The Las Vegas Raiders released veteran wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, a former first-round draft pick, from their practice squad. The move was made to clear a roster spot for tight end Carter Runyon, who cleared waivers and was officially signed to the practice squad after returning from Injured Reserve.

The roster maneuver followed a sequence where Las Vegas briefly cut receiver Cody White to activate Runyon before waiving Runyon and re-signing White. The 33-year-old Dorsett had spent time on the team's roster and practice squad since 2023 without appearing in a game.
