Will Chargers OC Mike McDaniel's latest gameday adjustment work? Probably not.

Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel is moving from the sideline to the coaching booth for upcoming games. McDaniel discussed the decision with head coach Jim Harbaugh following the team's 0-7 start to the season. The offensive coordinator explained that coaching from the booth will allow him to view the entire field better, comparing the vantage point to watching game film, a concept he learned while working alongside Kyle Shanahan in Atlanta.
Bolt Beat's Alexander Insdorf argues that the move appears desperate and expresses doubt that it will solve the team's offensive struggles. The Chargers currently possess the NFL's 32nd-ranked offense by EPA, while quarterback Justin Herbert is experiencing career-worst statistical production. McDaniel additionally suggested that running back Omarion Hampton could see an expanded role going forward.
