FanSided analyst Wynston Wilcox proposed a trade idea sending Los Angeles Chargers veteran edge rusher Khalil Mack to the Dallas Cowboys. The suggestion comes after the Chargers opened their season with an 0-2 record ahead of difficult road matchups against the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks. Wilcox suggested the Cowboys could acquire Mack in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-round draft pick ahead of the November 10 trade deadline.
The proposal highlights Mack as an affordable veteran alternative to Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby for Dallas. Since joining the Chargers in 2022, Mack has recorded 132 solo tackles, 37.5 sacks, and three fumble recoveries across 64 appearances. However, the report notes that trading away veterans could be premature as the Chargers still have opportunities to reverse their early-season struggles.
