The Washington football team (not to be confused with the Washington Football Team) is on their fifth season of being named the Commanders. And it sounds as though fans of the team are no bigger fans of “Commanders” today than…

In a Q&A conducted by Turf Show Times writer Kenneth Arthur ahead of the Los Angeles Rams' matchup against Washington, Hogs Haven writer Andrew Y stated that most fans still hate the name Commanders. Now in their fifth season using the moniker, fans reportedly view the branding as an unwanted remnant of former owner Dan Snyder's tenure, with alternatives like Red Wolves or Warthogs remaining much more popular among the fanbase.
The discussion also assessed the 2-4-1 Commanders' current struggles, with Andrew Y suggesting head coach Dan Quinn should be replaced if the season does not turn around. Highlighting Washington's persistent injury problems under strength and conditioning coach Chad Englehart, the feature also noted rookie receiver Antonio Williams as a bright spot in the offense following Terry McLaurin's injury.
