The Los Angeles Rams' faltering run defense will not have to face Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love this week.

The Los Angeles Rams' struggling run defense will catch a break as Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Entering Week 6, the Rams rank 26th in the NFL against the run, allowing an average of 128.4 rushing yards per game and surrendering four rushing touchdowns across five games. Bret Stuter of Ramblin' Fan notes that Love's absence provides a critical reprieve for coordinator Chris Shula's defense.
While the Rams have struggled to stop the run, their pass defense has significantly improved, giving up just 156.8 passing yards per game despite recording only eight sacks. Arizona's offense has similarly struggled on the ground, averaging only 91.6 rushing yards per contest with Love contributing 49 yards per game prior to his injury.
