Los Angeles Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson may be out for quite a while based on the latest update from head coach Sean McVay.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay provided an update on tight end Terrance Ferguson, indicating his return may extend beyond the four-game minimum on injured reserve. Ferguson suffered a medial ankle sprain against the Denver Broncos and was subsequently placed on IR. McVay cited the significance of the injury and realistic recovery timelines for the roster move, though he noted that Ferguson is expected to return before the end of the season.
Ferguson first became eligible to return in Week 8, but John Sbisa suggests a return around the Week 11 bye is more realistic. The injury impacts a Rams offense relying heavily on tight ends alongside receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, leaving Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson to handle larger roles.
