Dolphins Announce Two Practice Squad Moves

The Miami Dolphins announced on October 8, 2026, that they have signed edge rusher Amari Gainer to their practice squad. In a corresponding roster move, the team released defensive lineman Keith Cooper Jr. from the practice squad.

Gainer originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024 out of North Carolina. He appeared in 17 games as a rookie before spending time with the New England Patriots and eventually joining Miami.
