Rodriguez has made service a priority on and off the field.

The Miami Dolphins have named rookie inside linebacker Jacob Rodriguez as their nominee for the NFL's 2026 Salute to Service Award presented by USAA. Head Coach Jeff Hafley announced the nomination during a team meeting, recognizing Rodriguez's active dedication to honoring and supporting military service members and their families.
Rodriguez has deep personal ties to the military, as his father is a U.S. Army veteran and his wife, Emma, is an active-duty U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot. He joins 31 other nominees across the league, with fan voting open through November 30, 2026, to help determine the three finalists ahead of the NFL Honors ceremony.
