Tyreek Hill is getting some good news and some bad news this week in his assault case. A jury in Miami, Fla. surprisingly delivered a mixed verdict on Tuesday in the civil lawsuit against the former All-Pro wide receiver Hill.
A civil jury in Miami delivered a mixed verdict on Tuesday in the assault and battery lawsuit filed against former All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill by his ex-wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro. The jury found Hill liable on two counts of battery, ordering him to pay $500,000 in compensatory damages. However, Hill was cleared of eight other claims, and the jury denied Vaccaro's request for punitive damages following nearly four hours of deliberation.
Vaccaro initially filed the lawsuit in September 2025, alleging multiple incidents of physical violence during their marriage. Hill currently remains an unsigned free agent after sustaining a major knee injury with the Miami Dolphins last season, and it remains uncertain whether he will face disciplinary action under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.
