Miami Dolphins starting rookie left guard Kadyn Proctor will play in Week 9 against the Detroit Lions after clearing concussion protocol. Head coach Jeff Hafley confirmed on Friday that Proctor has been cleared to return to the starting lineup this Sunday. Proctor had missed the Dolphins' previous Week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots after sustaining a concussion during a Week 7 victory over the New York Jets.
Miami's offensive line struggled in Proctor's absence against New England, surrendering five sacks and managing only 74 rushing yards. Proctor was selected by Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan with the 12th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, five spots ahead of Detroit, who reportedly held strong interest in the Alabama offensive lineman.
