Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will undergo an MRI on his ribs on Monday.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is scheduled for an MRI on his ribs following an injury in Sunday night's 30-23 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Penix exited the contest with 27 seconds left in regulation after taking a hard hit from Ravens defender Tavius Robinson. Although he attempted to return, he was unable to continue.
Penix expressed optimism after the game, stating he does not expect the rib injury to keep him sidelined long term. Through three games, the quarterback has completed 67.5% of his passes for 719 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. The Falcons will host the Chicago Bears on October 18.
