Aaron Jones missed the Minnesota Vikings' first practice of Week 8, but Kevin O'Connell delivered an encouraging update amid Jonathan Taylor trade speculation.

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones is considered day to day after missing practice on Wednesday, October 28, due to a knee injury. Head coach Kevin O'Connell provided an encouraging update, stating that Jones feels strong and still has a realistic chance to play in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Jones aggravated an existing knee issue during Minnesota's 16-10 win over Indianapolis, but O'Connell noted the injury has not created an immediate need to trade for backfield help. While rumors linked Minnesota to Indianapolis Colts star Jonathan Taylor, Colts coach Shane Steichen confirmed Taylor has not requested a trade.
