After another loss by the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, the decision by the Minnesota Vikings in 2022 to pass on Jim Harbaugh continues to look right.

Adam Patrick of The Viking Age argues that the Minnesota Vikings made the correct choice by hiring Kevin O'Connell over Jim Harbaugh in 2022. While Harbaugh seemed like the preferred candidate at the time, his current team, the Los Angeles Chargers, fell to an 0-6 record in 2026 after losing 22-6 to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The writer highlights that the Chargers have lost nine consecutive games dating back to 2025, compiling a 22-20 overall record under Harbaugh since 2024. In contrast, Minnesota has achieved a 28-12 record during that same span under O'Connell despite managing multiple starting quarterbacks.
