After being on the hot seat one year ago, Matt Daniels has the Minnesota Vikings' special teams unit rolling.

Chris Schad argues that the Minnesota Vikings' 5-0 start vindicates the decision to retain special teams coordinator Matt Daniels after a turbulent previous season. The unit excelled during Sunday's 23-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints, highlighted by a Myles Price punt return, a forced fumble by Jake Golday, and Will Reichard making all three field goals.
Schad notes that despite Daniels facing intense scrutiny last year over costly penalties and coverage breakdowns, his unit has rebounded significantly. Reichard has hit 15 consecutive field goals this season, while rookie punter Brett Thorson and improved coverage units continue to bolster Minnesota's field position battle.
