Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz could be in line to start his second game of the season against the Buffalo Bills on MNF.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz could be in line to start against the Buffalo Bills due to an injury to Kyler Murray. Head coach Kevin O'Connell noted that Murray experienced hamstring tightness during a fourth-quarter loss to the Detroit Lions. Ian Rapoport subsequently reported that Murray could miss upcoming game time if the hamstring issue limits his mobility.
Analysts, including Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, suggest the injury may provide Minnesota with cover for a soft benching of Murray. Wentz previously started early-season games for the Vikings, and observers believe the coaching staff might prefer turning back to the veteran passer ahead of Monday Night Football.
