The Minnesota Vikings have elevated punter Johnny Hekker from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins at U.S. Bank Stadium. Hekker will manage punting and holding duties for the second consecutive week while Brett Thorson continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
This marks Hekker's first official elevation of the season, leaving him with two elevations remaining. In the previous game against Tampa Bay, Hekker averaged 46.5 yards on eight punts and handled holding duties for kicker Will Reichard.
