New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown revealed that his ankle is not fully healed, despite returning to the starting lineup. Brown suffered a high ankle sprain during New England's season-opening 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and spent a month on injured reserve. His admission comes after he was listed as a limited participant with an ankle and knee issue during Wednesday's practice.
Since returning in Week 6, Brown has struggled with dropped passes, catching six passes for 75 yards across two appearances. Former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel criticized Brown's fit in head coach Mike Vrabel's offense, calling him a non-factor. Nevertheless, Brown stated he will continue pushing through the ailment as the 4-3 Patriots prepare to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 8.
