The Story in 60 Seconds

New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown missed Thursday's practice due to an ankle and knee issue, leaving his availability questionable for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. NFL Network reported that Brown's knee has flared up, raising concerns after he already missed significant time earlier this season following a Week 1 high ankle sprain.

Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf previously acknowledged being aware of Brown's degenerative knee condition before trading for him in June. In two games since returning from injured reserve, Brown has recorded nine receptions on 20 targets for 101 yards and zero touchdowns as the Patriots' receiver group battles numerous injuries.
