Dre'Mont Jones, Elijah Ponder and rookie Gabe Jacas are off to a strong start this season.

Writer Evan Lazar reports that the New England Patriots edge-rusher trio of Dre'Mont Jones, Elijah Ponder, and rookie Gabe Jacas has exceeded preseason expectations through the first four games. The unit has combined for five sacks, 31 total pressures, 10 stuffed runs, an interception, and a fumble-recovery touchdown, helping the Patriots limit opposing quarterbacks like Josh Allen in a 29-26 upset win over Buffalo.
Free-agent addition Jones ranks second among qualified edge rushers with a 23.3% pass-rush win rate, while second-year pro Ponder leads the group with 2.5 sacks and 13 pressures. Rookie second-round pick Jacas has added 10 pressures and six run stuffs under the guidance of head coach Mike Vrabel as the 2-2 Patriots prepare to face the Las Vegas Raiders.
