New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown is back on the practice field, but it's unclear whether that means he'll play Sunday against the New York Jets.
New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown has returned to practice, though his status for Sunday's game against the New York Jets remains uncertain. Brown participated in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Thursday after being designated to return from injured reserve. He has been sidelined since suffering a high right ankle sprain during New England's regular-season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
Brown noted that head coach Mike Vrabel will ultimately decide on his availability, keeping long-term health in mind with a quick turnaround ahead against the Chicago Bears on October 22. Acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles during the offseason, Brown recorded three catches for 26 yards in his New England debut before the injury.
