His legacy includes the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Super Bowl champion and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

Pro Football Hall of Famer and former NFL head coach Mike Ditka died on Friday morning at the age of 86. Ditka spent three seasons as head coach of the New Orleans Saints from 1997 to 1999, guiding the team to a 15-33 record during his tenure after previously enjoying a celebrated run as head coach of the Chicago Bears.
Ditka constructed a legendary career as both a player and a coach, earning five All-Pro selections as a tight end and winning Super Bowl XX leading Chicago. Alongside Tom Flores, Ditka is one of only two people in NFL history to win a Super Bowl as a player, assistant coach, and head coach.
