"Very few times in this league is one running back gonna haul the load"

The New Orleans Saints placed running back Travis Etienne Jr. on injured reserve on Thursday, testing the team's depth ahead of their Monday night game against the Atlanta Falcons. Head coach Kellen Moore noted that the team will lean on Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller, and rookie CJ Donaldson to manage the backfield workload in Etienne's absence.
To address roster shifts, the Saints signed receiver Kevin Austin Jr. to the active roster from the practice squad. Additionally, running back Ulysses Bentley IV and edge rusher David Ojabo were added to the practice squad, while Carl Granderson, Anfernee Jennings, Pete Werner, and Kaden Elliss missed Thursday's practice due to injuries.
