Major national media outlets dropped the New Orleans Saints across their NFL Week 7 power rankings following the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris. The Saints fell to 23rd on NFL.com, 25th on Fox Sports and Bleacher Report, 27th on CBS Sports, and 28th on Sports Illustrated heading into their bye week.
Analysts cited the Saints' severe lack of a rushing attack, defensive struggles on third downs, and missed red-zone opportunities as primary factors behind the decline. Commentary also highlighted mounting pressure on head coach Kellen Moore as New Orleans has now dropped four of its past five contests.
